Welcome to Mason Beck Fiction.
I love stories. Always have. Doesn’t matter if they’re in a book or happening around a table with dice and someone doing a terrible accent.
I’ve spent years imagining worlds and characters, running games, scribbling notes that never went anywhere. Now I’m finally doing something with all of it. Learning to take the ideas that have always lived in my head and actually turn them into finished work that I can share.
I’m figuring out my voice, my style, and how to design a game that’s fun and actually balanced and write stories that people want to keep reading. I’m still learning, and sharing that journey in the hope it helps someone else or they find something they enjoy. This is where all of that lives while I work on it.
Most of what I make leans toward horror and narrative-focused gaming. Stories about terror and wonder, the creeping dread and acts of bravery, the moments where ordinary people face things they weren’t ready for. Games where the story and the fun matters more than the mechanics.
I’d love for this journey to be collaborative. If you’re working on your own stuff, whether it’s a story, a game, or something else, I want to hear about it. Share what you’re making. Talk about what’s working and what isn’t. And if something I share resonates or falls flat, tell me. I’m looking for feedback, advice, guidance from people who’ve been at this longer than I have. That’s the kind of place I want this to be.
If any of that sounds like your kind of thing, welcome. Let’s see where this goes.
