It’s been a few weeks since I started this site. I didn’t have much of a plan, just a desire to start sharing some of the things I found interesting and was working on. I haven’t advertised it or even given the link to anyone I know yet, since I’ve mostly been getting my bearings.
Still, I’ve been pleasantly surprised that some folks have already found their way here and actually enjoyed what I’ve posted. To those people, I want to say thank you.
I’ve gotten more comfortable with the tools and layout, and I’ve started organizing the small amount of content I have. With that in place, I’m beginning to think about what to do next. I’ve already completed the original goal of creating a space for my current TTRPG campaign. I even managed to finish and post a quick short story.
So what’s next?
- More organization.
Create a dedicated page for the short story and link it in the navigationCollect the Position Perks for my players and place them under Rules and Mechanics
Write another short story, hopefully in time for HalloweenClean up and revamp the homepage- Done!
Add a contact page or email link for people who want to say hello- Done! Contact
Possibly set up a Twitter (or X) account to share updates and connect with others- Done! Twitter(X) and BlueSky
Share the site with someone I know- Done!
Honestly felt a bit anticlimactic compared to the initial anxiety I had about it. They asked me how things were going with my writing and my campaigns and if I was taking any next steps and… well, I shared the link. Didn’t even have to steer the conversation in that direction.
I’ll take that as either a good sign or just good luck.
I’ll take either one.
- Done!
That last one feels like the biggest step. But you can’t grow without getting a little uncomfortable, and you can’t improve without feedback and practice.
To those who have enjoyed what I’ve shared so far, I hope you’ll stick around. And if you’re new, I hope you find something here that makes you want to stay.
Looking forward to what comes next.
Mason Beck
