Rolling Advantage

Sometimes the dice are kind. Sometimes they are just wasteful.

That is where Rolling Advantage comes in.

If a player rolls with advantage and hits a natural 20 on the first die, they do not need the second roll. They have already struck gold. So instead of throwing that second die away, they can bank it one time, for one future roll, within the next minute. They, “roll it over”. Pun intended.

It is a simple rule with a simple limit.

If they do not use the banked die on their next roll, it is lost. Unless, of course, fate favors them again and they roll another natural 20 on the first try. In that case, the cycle continues.

It does not stack. It does not break the math. It just rewards those rare, perfect moments when the dice hit the mark without hesitation.

And it adds a quiet little thrill to every natural 20 rolled first, because now it carries momentum. A ripple effect. A chance to keep riding the wave.

Rolling Advantage makes your lucky rolls feel just a little luckier. And in the heat of the moment, that one extra die might be exactly what you need.
