Happy New Year!
The holidays have come and gone, vacation’s over, and it’s back to nights-and-weekends work mode. I’ve set some ambitious goals for 2026, and January’s already off to a solid start.
Here’s what’s on the agenda this month.
Going Home
I finished refining this noir revenge horror short and I’m submitting it to a couple of markets when their windows open this month. If it gets picked up, I’ll post it here once the contract allows. If not, it’ll find its way here regardless.
The Alchemist’s Heirloom
Good start to the year on this one. The basic outline is done and the story hook is taking shape. I’ll post the hook once it’s ready while I continue building out the full adventure, including maps and custom mechanics. I’m aiming to schedule this as a one-shot in a couple months and create a PDF for DriveThruRPG. Finding an artist to commission comes later. The custom mechanics will also get added to the Rules and Mechanics page.
Neon Rain
I’m halfway through Monte Cook’s cyberpunk setting for Cypher and will post my review later this month. Spoilers: it’s amazing.
Strange Beginnings
The group is working on scheduling session three of our The End of the Institute campaign. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we’re back at the table. Once it happens, I’ll post the stylized actual play recap.
Misc
If you read the 2026 preview, you know I have a lot I want to accomplish this year. Expect little bits and pieces across fiction and TTRPG projects as they come together.
As always, thanks for reading.
If you are new here and would like to explore more of what I have written or what I am working on, you can find most everything here.
If you find something you enjoy, please consider sharing it with others. That is what stories are for.
