Mid-January 2026 Update

I hope you all are having a great New Year and that it is treating you well.

With everything going on in the world, and while trying to live a normal life, it can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes even feel impossible. We do the best we can with what we have and hope for the best. Whatever this year may bring, take care of yourselves, take care of each other, be kind, and be safe.

As much as I miss Christmas vacation, the year comes whether you’re ready or not. Though it may not be as quickly or as much as I would hope, progress is being made.

Here’s where we’re at so far:

Going Home

Submission jitters have definitely set in. This will be the first thing I have ever officially submitted for any sort of publication. Whether or not it gets accepted, I’m still proud of the work I put in and what I’ve learned from the process.

The Alchemist’s Heirloom

This has been my primary focus this month. The Story Hook is up and available, and I’ve created the stealth takedown mechanics for both D&D and Cypher. I have a rough sketch of the grounds the players will be infiltrating completed, though I still need to create the VTT version. Lastly, I have some suggested equipment and magical items thought out, just not fully fleshed out yet. At this pace, I should be ready by March.

Neon Rain

I loved this book. I’ve always enjoyed the aesthetic and was a fan of Shadowrun as a teen. Cyberpunk 2077 turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time. This book had it all, and I can’t say enough good things about it. The review is here.

Strange Beginnings

Session Three is anticipated for next week, and I can’t wait. The players have had a crazy first day on the job, and nothing is as it seems. Strange messages, the Institute ransacked and vandalized, and the last statement taken before the previous staff disappeared has been found. You can catch up on the previous sessions here.

As always, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy!

If you are new here and would like to explore more of what I have written or what I am working on, you can find most everything here.
